Nazek El Wakeel
She is a Senior Programs and Cooperation Specialist at the Women Studies and Social Transformation Program (WSST) at the Library of Alexandria.
She is an expert in women studies and gender issues and implements programs and activities on relevant gender topics for developing resources and fostering abilities, thus, creating an incubator and an active promoter for change and the creation of conditions for constructive social transformation.
Nazik offers more than 20 years of professional experience.
Her diverse work experience mainly at the “Library of Alexandria”, and others, provided her with extensive experience in many disciplines.
Throughout her career, she has successfully strategically planned and managed the implementation of, projects, campaigns, events and many more.
She has an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration (EMBA), and a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in English Literature and Humanities from Alexandria University. She has also studied Trafficking in Persons especially Women and Children at the Washington College of Law, and Islamic Legal Systems at the School of Advanced International Sciences (SAIS) at John’s Hopkins University, Washington DC.
She is also a Human Rights Fellow at the Protection Program at SAIS.
