collector of passport stamps and lovely souls, Kimberly Roberts, is an American writer and entrepreneur who found her home in the pyramid village of Giza just over a year ago.
Today, she has become a founding partner and General Manager of the Grand Giza Boutique Hotel.
She has over 15 years of progressive national corporate roles in both the US and Canada, primarily focused on the arc of the prospect to client/customer experience and how it relates directly to the profitability of an organization. For over a decade, she has parlayed this background into her own strategic marketing consulting services to online businesses while she traveled the globe.
With these unique experiences and skills, along with her wealth of personal experience as a world traveler and her deep love for all things Egypt, she and her partners have created Giza’s first authentic lifestyle boutique hotel set to open Winter 2019-2020.
The hospitality industry notes that today’s travelers expect more than just a ‘vanilla box’ room or experience in their travels – they want to be immersed in a culture, to see more, to do more, ultimately returning home with rich, vibrant and unique stories of their adventures. Lifestyle boutique hotels are at the forefront of this shift in travel. Grand Giza Boutique Hotel, with a combined focus on art, design, and culture, will showcase local artists, artisans, and chefs, along with offering a full monthly calendar of Discover Egypt events, all designed to immerse Giza’s guests in the best of Egypt and its beautiful people.
A writer, US newspaper columnist, and international speaker, Kimberly delight also in her passion for inspiring others to live their best and authentic lives now, even with life commitments.
And she walks her talk! In her own life, she has qualified for the US Jr Olympics as a sharpshooter, held an elected office at 16, went from being crowned fair queen to army soldier, drove both a CASCAR and an IndyLite car, and was featured on Vanity Fair magazine as one of the world’s noted Judy Garland doppelgangers just to name a few, all for the love of having Ah-mazing stories when she’s 90!
